Hi All

Friends of mine are getting married in January. There are planning a humanist ceremony but would like to add Druidic touches to the ceremony. Can any of you give me any tips or suggestions or point me in the direction of good sources of information?

Thanks and much appreciated

Some suggestions from Mrs

Some suggestions from Mrs AC.

You might want to include or bring in the four
direction and the animal connections, you can also incorporate the
relevant trees associated with the couple or the time of the year. You
can bring in the elements in its literal form and any other relevant
blessing as in Druidic ceremonies. The couples vows to each other
should be their own and ideally linked to the four directions. There is
no need for the couple to jump over anything as this is a Wiccan
tradition and has no relevance to druidry. However a cow pat is another
matter! Smile

Hope its an assistance

Hello Myth, I'll have a word

Hello Myth,

I'll have a word with my partner who has been conducting handfastings for the past eleven years and see whether she will donate some information on the cereomony which is used. (There are some images in the Galleries available.) Alternatively you may like to fet in touch with the Trinity Grove via the community although based in Edinburgh, Alistair might be able to assist you in this quest also.

Warm regards - Astrocelt
