Old Fraternal Druid resources
I am still looking for matreial and resources connnected with the Ancient Order of Druids.
Some if this appear to be as rare as the proverbial hen's teeth.
In particular I am tring to find the following:
A Short Account of modern druidism - With which is incorprated the history of No1 Lodge of Antiquity, AOD the parent Lodge of the Ancient Order of Druids by Charles Beale. This I think was published about 1920ish.
If anyone owns or comes across any material relating to the AOD, please let me know.
My lodge is hoping to have a presence on the net in the not too distant future and we are doing our best to keep the order going.

Well this one is not in my collection but a quick research has revealed this on Amazon. Another Good contact for finding out of print books is the Book Finder General. However have checked there too, without any success
nonetheless will keep it in mind if I come across a copy in the near future.

I wonder if it might be possible to get a copy for the archives here if it's out of copyright (>75 years)? Of course, we'd have to track a copy down first! I looked on archive.org but didn't find it
Oh well, someone must have a copy:S~CalonDdraig
I have noticed a fair amount of the old Druid fraternal societies' publications and regalia being auctioned off on ebay over the years. Lodge certificates, books on rites and by-laws, medals, jewelry and even the occassional U.O.A.D. fraternal lodge sword, mostly dating to the late 1800's and early 1900's, so you might do an advanced search and save it on a watch list if you have an ebay account, you never know what will turn up.
Thanks for all these comments.
I have certainly got a good deal of material from Ebay. The best archives I have come across were for the Albion Lodge of Druids in Oxford and the early days of the UAOD which s in Wakefield.
The AOD is the most difficlt maerial to find as the order appears to have lost most f its records during the war. This has meant picking up bits here and there.
Thanks
