SPRING!!!
You can feel it in the air, that a change is a stirring as the early plants show themselves. Some of the days have been recently smashing too, with the Sun slowing being empowered with more heat and light. As this side of the globe begings to tilt towards the Sun; now that is indeed the magic of nature and the cosmos combined!
As the nights draw out in the northern hemisphere, this being the reverse for the community members in the south. It too may be start to cool the fires off, and stop making the earth rumble in Victoria for the Melborne Grove!
However one may celebrate this astronomical and geocentric event, have an enjoyable time indeed!
Yes it was a Spring Equinox celebration, you can even see how the earth is responding and beginning to bloom.
Many thanks to the Earthworks Grove, which Druid Grove within the community will be featured at Beltaine?

Spring is certainly in the air, apart from the early flowering daffodils.
Some of the small streams are showing the beginnings of a new cycle too, as frogs have been preparing for the new generation.
Noticed that something has also been removing the frogspawn along the pathways and also by the roadside.

Awens to All:
I just got back from Spring Equinox Meditations at the Vihara Buddhist Temple.
In preparation for the Meditation, I made up a Special Gift for the Temple.
After work, I went to the Store and bought 30 Hot Cross Buns and I made up 8 Packages of 3 Hot Cross Buns each with each Package representing each Spoke on the Sacred Wheel of Life. I put in 3 Hot Cross Buns in each Package to represent how the Number 3 is Sacred to both Celtic Paganism and Buddhism.
I then had a separate Parcel of 6 Hot Cross Buns just for the Venerable Priests and that had a Small Jar of Strawberry Jam that I won at a Legion Raffle many months ago.
So when I got to the Temple, I started handing out the Packages of 3 Hot Cross Buns to each Parishioner as they arrived. They were Very Delighted at the Nice Spring Equinox Gift they received as they arrived. I was Very Happy to be able to see the Nice Smiles on their Faces as they received their Hot Cross Bun Gifts.
Then the Venerable Priest Chandima arrive to preside over the Meditation and he was also Very Happy to Receive his Spring Equinox Gift.
The Meditation went off very well and we did Sitting, Walking and then Sitting Meditations.
Then after the Meditation was over, everyone left. But a couple of Parishioners came up and profusely Thanked Me again for giving the nice Gifts of Hot Cross Buns for Spring Equinox.
I then went and had Dinner at Fresgos Restaurant to cap off a Nice Peaceful Night and went home.
Doing Meditation at a Buddhist Temple was a Good Way to Celebrate Spring Equinox.

it's great to hear of others celebrating with Buddhist temples-though a solitary by region and both halves of my path, sometimes I feel very alone as a Buddhist Druid- ironically especially on the days that both cultures celebrate!
the last year I've been trying to more actively celebrate the Druid holidays ( bringing a bit more piety into my life then I haveI'actively expressed in my life for several years.
I am only just starting to recognize all the Buddhist Holy days.
a belated happy spring/autumn to all!
I take refuge in the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha and Seek the Light in Truth, Nature and Knowledge.
Awens to All:
Tomorrow is Spring Equinox and I have several Activities for Celebrating it.
Tomorrow after work, I am going to do some Aquatic Meditations at the North Surrey Rec Center and then stop by the Legion for a couple of Pints and then go Home to have a Two Liter Bottle of my Spiced Peach Cider whilst Burning some Lavender Incense on my Personal Altar.
Then on Saturday Morning, I am going to the Buddhist Vihara Temple to do one of their Ata Sil Full Moon Day Long Meditative Retreats.
Then on Sunday, I think I will include attending the Sunday Gathering Service at the Cloverdale Lighthouse Spiritualist Church. After finishing attending the Spiritualist Church, I think I will go off to the Joe Dec Water Spring and pick up some Sacred Holy Spring Water.

That is one of the nice things about the Vihara Buddhist Temple is that they do not mind me coming to their Temple to Celebrate the Sacred Sabbaths of Celtic Druidism. They allow Freedom of Will and allow others such as Celtic Druids and Pagans to come to their Temples to pay Homage to whatever form of Universal Deity they want, so long as No Harm is done.
