Termite Architecture

What This Image Means To Me...: Having left Alice Springs heading north across the line of Capricorn, a right hand turn and a two day drive down a dirt road towards Queensland. Throughout this stage of the journey the termite mounds increased in size from a few inches, to this giant one which stood over ten feet tall, and just as wide. A remarkable sight to behold of the work of those termite creatures within this arid region, nature is everywhere, it has its beauty and a unique regional charm.

Re: Past travels
I grew up up In Far North queensland. The rainforest area, but frequently when we went out for trips to the drier areas we would see thousands of these.
Pretty amazing.
