The more eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed that a new option has appeared down the left hand side of the page for the Celtic and Druid Archive.

This area has specifically been created to record and examine the history of the "revival period" druidism and in particular the fraternal druid orders. We hope over the next few weeks and months (please bear with us) to be able to create an archive so that their history can be presented in context. We hope that you will all find this interesting and stimulating and any of you who have pictures or documents relating the Ancient Order of Druids, the United Ancient Order of Druids and the other fraternal druid societies please contact me and perhaps we can add them to the site if you are willing to share them with others. We hope also to be able to cover groups like the Universal Bond/Ancient Druid Order as well at some time.

The site is not intended as a "font of all knowledge" on fraternal history and it is very much a learning process for all involved. Fraternal history is very fragmented and confused and please see this as a labour of love in trying to create something both interesting and useful. If you spot mistakes along the way then please contact me and we will look to correct/clarify any points noted.

The site is also not intended to replace the official websites; express the views of or represent in any way any of the Orders discussed. It is simply intended to record the history of fraternal druidism and perhaps be able to discuss its relevance to modern druidic thought and practice.

We hope you enjoy it!

Thanks Mythagobaz, I'm sure it will make interesting reading. I am especially interested in the development of the United Ancient Order of Druids in Australia
