Rituals

Many of the fraternal societies developed elaborate rituals which have been linked to the "mystery plays" which were part of the craft guilds and sometimes put on in civic displays. Some of these foundation legends have a basis in fact e.g. the foundation of King Soloman's Temple, used by the Freemasons, while others appear to be largely fanciful e.g those adopted by the Ancient Order of Druids.
