I recently came across the web site for The Order of Bards Ovates and Druids. I see they offer  lessons. I would like to know if any of you have taken these lessons. If any one has or If they have ever heard any ones feed back on them please let me know. Thank you

Re: OBOD lessons

It's definitely nice that people can and do ask questions of people from different groups and orders, groves and so on because it allows you to get the broader picture than just asking one group or person.

I've heard good things about the OBOD course, but can't speak for it myself. I have done the Perennial Druidry course from the Druid Network: http://druidnetwork.org/en/learning/courses/online/perennial is the address. It's free to do and the idea behind it is that you work through it/study it yourself. The great thing being is that it's designed to just drop into at whatever part of the year you're in. A couple of years back our grove worked through the course, and I can honestly say we got a lot out of it.

Also, I've heard that the British Druid Order are working on a course of their own, which I'm pretty excited about doing. The page for that is: http://www.druidry.co.uk/bdocourse.html

Hope these two links are of interest to you!

I believe they do a taster course or they used to. Have you looked at The Druid Network site, there may be other such courses posted on there.Hope this helps.

Re: OBOD lessons

 Hi lamme and welcome,

I have taken but not yet completed the Bardic part of the OBOD course and I can fully reccommend it. Its great because it's aimed at the complete beginner or those experienced. The whole thing unfolds at a pace that suits you and there is absolutely no pressure. You get packs through the post and you work with the learning material, so its experiential. I guess some may say that it's not the only way to train as a druid and that's fine. It's up to the individual. It really suits me on many levels.Hope this helps.

Blessings, Heddwen
