One of those real gems of a website, the page below is the first in a whole set of articles on the Midwinter traditions of Orkney, which are a marriage between Nordic and Celtic or Pictish customs. Highly informative and from it, I have shaped my own personal Yule calendar and way of celebrating the Winter Solstice. I hope you are inspired!
