 Welsh Text Society


Founded by the Abergaveny Society of Cymmrondorion The Text society went on to publish various books relating to manuscripts recovered concerning Welsh culture. Some also dealt with interpretations of those manuscripts within the a revivial period within the bardic tradition, which was championed by the gentry and artisans. Additionally it walked hand in hand with the antiqurian or humanistic movement, subsequently some of the publications produced has to be carefully handle when undertaking research.
