City of the White Rose

The "Cycle of the White Rose" (1710-1869), has been suggested it was under the leadership of Sir Watkin Williams Wynne. Later to be confirmed by Nicolas, this respectable MP from Denbighshire who subscribed to it. The group has long been suspected of Jacobite leanings, loyal to the Stewart crown. Many old families within the North Wales and boarders have been persumed to have been involved. Lord Buckley was cited by John Evans, the Bishop of Bangor and other local clergy of such sympathies. Nonetheless, such accusations have been argued to be circumstantial. Additionally Sir John Glynne of Harwarden also had some involvement. However the activites along with its membership and whether they had an impact on society is unclesr.
